Membership
of the Old Bootleians Association is open to all former pupils
of Bootle Secondary School for Boys and Bootle Grammar School
for Boys.Use either the telephone numbers or e.mail addresses given
above.
The
resignation of our Meetings Secretary, Roy Martin, was a blow to us
and we have to thank him for many years of service both as a
Committee member and as a Secretary. Roy was also instrumental in
running the raffle at the Annual Dinner for many years, raising large
amounts of money, which helped us to subsidise subsequent dinners.
Geoff Lloyd, who has served on the committee for many years, has
agreed to take on this role, for which we are grateful.
FORTHCOMING
EVENTS
During
2007, we have planned three functions for you.
The
Annual Reunion Dinner will be held on Friday 20th April
at the West Lancashire Golf Club. The trial of having the dinner
without a ‘Guest of the Year’ seemed to have been a successful
and will continue for another year.
The
Annual General Meeting and Hot Pot Supper will be held on Friday 2nd
November. This will again be held at West Lancs Golf Club where we
had a turnout of over 100 for the last function.
The
George Vernon Memorial Trophy Golf Day has been booked for Friday,
3rd August at West Derby Golf Club. The last event was
very well supported not only by golfers, but by members and wives for
the dinner in the evening. Please register your interest for this
